A beach day planner for the water lovers
Beaches app is the one app for all the information you need about beaches. Throughout my time as a Product Designer at Beaches App, I spearheaded an extensive redesign initiative with the goal of developing a cohesive, beach-centric application. In this role, I conducted meticulous audits of the existing interface for both consistency and accessibility, drawing comparisons with industry competitors. I successfully integrated the Google places API to build a review and rating system for beaches.

The Beaches app stands out from other beach applications because the company has dedicated years to creating a system that collects the most accurate data for various beaches across the United States. However, as the saying goes, if data isn't presented to the right audience in the right way, it becomes ineffective!
I designed an interface that helps users visualize data at a glance to get the right information at the right time.

Reviews and Rating - Google Places API
Each carousel featured a single full-length horizontal scroll, showcasing Google-ranked top images upfront.
Cards adapt to all image sizes and ratios, ensuring visibility without cropping or distortion.
Reviews were limited to 2 lines or 90 characters to reduce text clutter, with a "view more" option for details.
